Metric Thread Pitch Table
Newport Fasteners is making it convenient for customers to order hardware of varied metric thread sizes, spacers, and standoffs. Once you have selected one of our standard parts, add your requirement of metric thread sizes in the quotient. View our thread pitch chart here to get more ideas about different thread sizes.
The metric thread sizes are different from the inch thread sizes. It is specified using the nominal major diameter and the number of threads per inch. Let us take an example now – a 3/8-16 (coarse) thread size has a 3/8" nominal major diameter and 16 thread per inch, while a 3/8-24 (fine) thread has the same nominal major diameter and 24 threads per inch. You can more idea of it from our thread pitch chart.
We do business across various locations and follow the international (ISO) standard for metric head callouts. All thread standards across the world use the ISO designation and conventions. The method of designation has the major benefits that average citizens do not need to memorize the pitches for identifying the coarse thread. Threads are produced with burnished roots and flanks, free from surface imperfections that might prove to be starting points for fatigue failure.
